Indications:
Moderate pain due to musculoskeletal disorders
Arthritis and related inflammatory conditions
Acute gout attacks
Dental pain and post-operative pain
Soft tissue injuries
Pharmacology:
Naprox Plus contains Naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that blocks COX enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain and inflammation. The additional analgesic component enhances pain relief.
Dosage:
Usually one tablet twice daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Maximum dose should not exceed prescribed limits to avoid side effects.
Administration:
Take orally with water after meals to reduce stomach irritation.
Interaction:
May interact with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, corticosteroids, antihypertensive agents, and certain antidepressants. Use under medical supervision.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Naproxen or related drugs
Active gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers
Severe renal or hepatic impairment
Third trimester of pregnancy
Side Effects:
Common: Nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain, headache
Serious: Gastrointestinal bleeding, allergic reactions, cardiovascular risks
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended in the third trimester; use caution when breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, or renal diseases. Regular monitoring is advised.
