Indications:
Indicated for topical treatment of scabies and pediculosis (lice infestation).
Pharmacology:
Lindane is an organochlorine insecticide that acts on the nervous system of parasites causing paralysis and death. The cream formulation allows localized treatment with minimal systemic absorption.
Dosage:
Apply a thin layer of the cream over the entire body from the neck down and leave on for 8-12 hours before washing off. For pediculosis, apply directly to the scalp and hair, leave for 4 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Administration:
Apply to clean, dry skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Use gloves or wash hands immediately after application.
Interaction:
No significant systemic drug interactions reported due to minimal absorption.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Lindane or any component of the formulation

Infants, elderly, patients with extensive skin disease or seizure disorders (due to potential neurotoxicity)
Side Effects:
Local irritation, itching, redness, rash, and in rare cases, neurotoxicity like seizures if overused or absorbed systemically.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use with caution. Should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation unless benefits outweigh risks.
Precautions & Warnings:
