Pharmacology:
Temazepam is a benzodiazepine that enhances GABA neurotransmission causing sedation and hypnosis. Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine with anxiolytic and sedative properties, enhancing the hypnotic effect.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults: One tablet (80mg temazepam + 12.5mg hydroxyzine) at bedtime or as prescribed

Take immediately before sleep

Use for short durations (7-10 days) to prevent tolerance and dependence
Interaction:

Additive CNS depression with alcohol, opioids, and other sedatives

Interaction potential with antidepressants, antipsychotics, and other CNS-active drugs
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to temazepam, hydroxyzine, or benzodiazepines

Severe respiratory depression

Acute asthma or lower respiratory tract diseases

Pregnancy and breastfeeding unless essential

Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness

Fatigue, headache
