Indications:
Vitamax D 2000 IU is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin D3 deficiency, osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, and support of immune function.
Pharmacology:
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for calcium absorption in the intestine, bone mineralization, and proper immune function. It helps maintain adequate serum calcium and phosphate levels.
Dosage:
Adults: 1 capsule daily or as directed by the physician.
Dosage may vary based on age, severity of deficiency, or specific medical condition.
Administration:
To be taken orally with or without food, preferably with a meal to enhance absorption.
Interaction:
May interact with antacids containing aluminum, corticosteroids, digoxin, and other vitamin D-containing products. Consult a physician before use.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with hypercalcemia, hypersensitivity to Vitamin D3, or severe renal impairment.
Side Effects:
