Indications:
ZOFRA 50ML is indicated to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and postoperative recovery.
Pharmacology:
Ondansetron is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that blocks serotonin receptors in the central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract, thereby preventing nausea and vomiting.
Dosage:

Adults and children: Dose varies depending on indication and weight, typically 8 mg twice daily or as prescribed.

Shake well before use.
Administration:
Orally, with or without food. Use the measuring device for accurate dosing.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs that prolong QT interval, apomorphine, and other serotonergic agents.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ondansetron or any component of the formulation.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include headache, constipation, dizziness, and rare allergic reactions.
