AUGMENT 1MG Tablet is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and dental infections.
Pharmacology:
AUGMENT 1MG Tablet contains amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin, and clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination ensures the inactivation of resistant bacteria producing beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby enhancing efficacy.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 1 tablet every 8-12 hours, depending on infection severity.

Children: Dosage as prescribed by a physician.

Administer orally with or without food.
Interaction:
Concomitant use with anticoagulants may increase the risk of bleeding. Avoid taking with allopurinol to reduce allergic reactions.
Contraindications:
Patients with a history of allergic reactions to penicillins or beta-lactam antibiotics should avoid this medication.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and mild skin rash. Rarely, it may cause severe allergic reactions or liver enzyme elevation.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
AUGMENT 1MG Tablet is generally safe during pregnancy and lactation, but it should only be used if prescribed by a healthcare provider.
