Indications:
Tamen 100ml is indicated for:

Fever (pyrexia) in children
-
Mild to moderate pain including headache, sore throat, toothache, muscle ache, and post-immunization fever
Pharmacology:
Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic. It reduces prostaglandin synthesis in the brain to alleviate pain and lower body temperature. It has minimal anti-inflammatory properties and does not irritate the stomach like NSAIDs.
Dosage & Administration:

Dose depends on the child's age and weight

Typical dose: 10–15 mg/kg body weight every 4 to 6 hours as needed

Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours

Shake well before use and measure with a dosing cup or spoon
Interaction:

May enhance the effect of warfarin and other anticoagulants with prolonged use

Alcohol increases the risk of liver toxicity

Use cautiously with other paracetamol-containing products
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to paracetamol

Severe hepatic impairment
Side Effects:

Rare but may include allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling

Hepatotoxicity in overdose or prolonged use

Nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort in some cases
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe when used in recommended doses during pregnancy and breastfeeding under medical advice. However, Tamen is typically used for children, not adults.
