Indications:
RIVAROX 10 MG is indicated for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery, and for the treatment and secondary prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
Pharmacology:
Contains Rivaroxaban, a selective Factor Xa inhibitor. It inhibits thrombin formation and clot development by directly blocking the active site of Factor Xa.
Dosage:

For VTE prevention after surgery: 10 mg once daily

For treatment of DVT/PE: As per physician’s recommendation (initial higher doses followed by 10 mg maintenance)
Always follow physician's prescription.
Administration:
Administer orally, preferably with food for better absorption. Do not crush or split the tablet unless instructed.
Interaction:
May interact with other anticoagulants, NSAIDs, SSRIs, CYP3A4 inhibitors (like ketoconazole), and antiplatelet drugs. Caution with alcohol and herbal supplements.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include bleeding, anemia, nausea, and abdominal pain. Serious but rare side effects include intracranial bleeding and liver enzyme elevation.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless clearly needed and prescribed. Consult with a doctor before use.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor signs of bleeding. Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment. Do not stop abruptly without consulting a doctor.

Storage Conditions:
