Indications:
PROTECTO 200 ML is indicated for the treatment of acidity, gastritis, indigestion, and other gastric discomforts. It helps protect and soothe the stomach lining and reduces gastric irritation.
Pharmacology:
PROTECTO syrup contains ingredients such as magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, and simethicone that neutralize gastric acid and reduce gas formation. These components protect the mucosa and alleviate symptoms of heartburn and bloating.
Dosage:
Adults: 10–20 ml three times daily after meals or as directed by the physician.
Children: Dosage as prescribed by the doctor.
Administration:
Shake well before use. Take orally with a measuring spoon or cup after meals.
Interaction:
May reduce absorption of certain antibiotics and iron supplements. Separate administration by 1–2 hours from other medicines.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity to any components, severe renal impairment, or intestinal obstruction.
Side Effects:
Generally safe and well tolerated. Rarely may cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as constipation or diarrhea.
