Indications:
Norium 5mg is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney complications.
Pharmacology:
Contains Olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker that dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.
Dosage:
Usually, one 5mg tablet once daily. Dose adjustments depend on the patient's blood pressure response.
Administration:
Administer orally with or without food, preferably at the same time daily.
Interaction:
May interact with potassium supplements, other antihypertensive drugs, or NSAIDs. Consult your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients allergic to Olmesartan and in pregnancy. Use with caution in severe renal or hepatic impairment.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and gastrointestinal symptoms. Contact a doctor if severe side effects occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless prescribed by a doctor.
Precautions & Warnings:
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advised. Use caution if kidney or liver problems exist.
