Indications:
XINC OT 60MG is indicated for the prevention and treatment of zinc deficiency, adjunct therapy in acute and persistent diarrhea, delayed wound healing, skin disorders, and compromised immunity.
Pharmacology:
XINC OT 60MG contains Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate providing 60 mg of elemental zinc. Zinc is an essential micronutrient vital for enzymatic functions, immune regulation, cell division, skin repair, and intestinal health. It accelerates recovery from infections and diarrhea.
Dosage:

Adults: 1 tablet (60 mg) daily or as directed by a physician

Children (if prescribed): Dose to be adjusted by physician based on age and weight
Administration:
Take orally after meals with water. Avoid taking it with milk or calcium-rich foods, as these may reduce zinc absorption.
Interaction:
May interact with tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and iron supplements. It is recommended to maintain a 2-hour gap between these medications and zinc.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to zinc or any inactive ingredient in the formulation.
Side Effects:
Generally well tolerated. May cause nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or a metallic taste in some patients.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Can be used under medical supervision. Adequate zinc is essential during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but high doses should be avoided.
Precautions & Warnings:
Prolonged use in high doses may lead to copper deficiency. Avoid overdose. Monitor for gastrointestinal discomfort.
