Indications:
Cardobis Plus 2.5/6.25MG is indicated for the treatment of hypertension in patients who require combination therapy to achieve adequate blood pressure control.
Pharmacology:

Nebivolol: A beta-1 selective blocker that reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and peripheral resistance, leading to lowered blood pressure.

Hydrochlorothiazide: A thiazide diuretic that increases sodium and water excretion, reducing blood volume and systemic vascular resistance.
Dosage and Administration:

Standard Dose: One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning.

Can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Interaction:

Avoid co-administration with other antihypertensive agents to prevent excessive hypotension.

Increased risk of electrolyte imbalance when combined with NSAIDs or corticosteroids.

May interact with digitalis glycosides, increasing the risk of bradycardia.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Nebivolol, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the medication.

Severe renal or hepatic impairment.

Patients with anuria or severe electrolyte imbalance.
Side Effects:

Common: Dizziness, fatigue, headache, mild hypotension.

Rare: Electrolyte disturbances, hyperuricemia, bradycardia.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Contraindicated during pregnancy due to the risk of fetal harm.

Avoid during lactation as Hydrochlorothiazide can be excreted in breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings:

Monitor blood pressure and electrolyte levels regularly.

Use with caution in patients with gout or diabetes.

Avoid abrupt discontinuation to prevent rebound hypertension.
Therapeutic Class:
