Indications:
XINC 20 (100mg) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of zinc deficiency, especially during diarrhea, growth retardation, skin lesions, immune weakness, and poor wound healing.
Pharmacology:
Each tablet of XINC 20 contains Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate equivalent to 100 mg elemental zinc. Zinc is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system, wound healing, DNA synthesis, and cellular metabolism. It also reduces the severity and duration of acute diarrhea.
Dosage:

Adults & children above 12 years: 1 tablet daily

Or as prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
To be taken orally after meals with a full glass of water to reduce stomach upset. Do not crush or chew unless directed.
Interaction:
May reduce absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and iron supplements. It is advisable to take these at least 2 hours apart.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any zinc compound or excipients of the formulation.
Side Effects:
Generally safe. Occasionally may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or a metallic taste.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe when used in recommended doses. Consult a physician before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid prolonged high-dose use without medical advice. Monitor for signs of copper deficiency during long-term therapy.
