Indications:
INDUS 50MG Tablet is indicated for the relief of:

Pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Acute gouty arthritis.
-
Musculoskeletal pain and other inflammatory conditions.
Pharmacology:
Indomethacin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, reducing inflammation, pain, and fever.
Dosage:

Adults: 25-50 mg two to three times daily, as prescribed by a physician.

Dose adjustment may be required based on the patient's response.
Administration:
Take orally after meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Interaction:

May interact with anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, and certain antihypertensives.

Avoid alcohol during treatment to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to indomethacin or other NSAIDs.

Active gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding.

Severe liver, kidney, or heart dysfunction.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness, and headache. Rare but serious effects include gastrointestinal bleeding and kidney dysfunction.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Use with caution during the first and second trimesters and while breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:

Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular conditions, or asthma.

Monitor liver and kidney function during prolonged use.
