Indications:
RENFIT 10 MG is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and may also be used for heart failure and to prevent cardiovascular complications.
Pharmacology:
Contains Ramipril, an ACE inhibitor that works by blocking the enzyme converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and decreased blood pressure.
Dosage:
Usually 2.5 to 10 mg once daily or as prescribed by the physician, depending on the patient’s condition.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food at the same time each day. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage.
Interaction:
May interact with diuretics, potassium supplements, lithium, NSAIDs, and other antihypertensive agents.
Contraindications:
Patients with history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor therapy, pregnancy, bilateral renal artery stenosis, and hypersensitivity to ramipril.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include cough, dizziness, headache, fatigue, and hypotension. Rare effects include angioedema and hyperkalemia.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Consult doctor before use during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor kidney function, electrolytes, and blood pressure regularly. Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment.
