Indications:
Olmesta M 20/5 is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, especially in patients who require more than one medication to control blood pressure.
Pharmacology:
Contains Olmesartan medoxomil (an angiotensin II receptor blocker) and Amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker), which work synergistically to relax blood vessels and reduce blood pressure.
Dosage:
Usually, one tablet once daily, dosage may be adjusted by the physician according to patient needs.
Administration:
Oral administration with or without food, preferably at the same time daily.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, potassium supplements, or drugs affecting liver enzymes. Inform your healthcare provider of all medications.
Contraindications:
Not recommended in patients allergic to Olmesartan, Amlodipine, during pregnancy, or severe hepatic/renal impairment without medical supervision.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include dizziness, headache, swelling (edema), flushing, or fatigue.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless directed by a healthcare professional.
