Indications:
Moderate to severe pain and inflammation
Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
Acute gout
Soft tissue injuries
Post-operative pain management
Pharmacology:
Naprox Plus contains Naproxen and an additional analgesic that work synergistically to inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain and inflammation.
Dosage:
Typically, one tablet twice daily or as prescribed.
Do not exceed recommended dose to prevent adverse effects.
Administration:
Take orally with food or milk to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, corticosteroids, other NSAIDs, antihypertensives, and certain antidepressants. Use with caution.
Contraindications:
Allergy to Naproxen or related compounds
Active gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding
Severe liver or kidney disease
Third trimester of pregnancy
Side Effects:
Common: Nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain, headache
Serious: Gastrointestinal bleeding, cardiovascular risks, allergic reactions
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Avoid use in the third trimester; consult a doctor before use during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular, renal, or gastrointestinal disorders. Monitor regularly during prolonged therapy.
