AUGMENT 625 Tablet is indicated for treating bacterial infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing strains, including infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues.
Pharmacology:
AUGMENT 625 Tablet contains amoxicillin (500 mg) and clavulanic acid (125 mg). Amoxicillin disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis, while clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, enhancing the efficacy against resistant bacteria.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults and children over 12 years: One tablet every 8 hours.

Children under 12 years: Dose as prescribed by a physician.

Administer orally, preferably with meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
Interaction:
Avoid concurrent use with methotrexate due to increased toxicity risk. May interact with anticoagulants, requiring dose adjustments.
