Pharmacology:
Isosorbide Dinitrate is a nitrate that works by releasing nitric oxide, leading to relaxation and dilation of blood vessels. This action reduces myocardial oxygen demand and improves oxygen supply to the heart muscle, alleviating chest pain and preventing further episodes of angina.
