Indications
Indicated for the management of severe anxiety, depression, and related disorders by combining the calming effect of Diazepam with the antidepressant properties of Escitalopram.
Pharmacology

Diazepam (25mg): A benzodiazepine that enhances GABA activity, calming excessive neural activity.

Escitalopram (5mg): An SSRI that increases serotonin levels, improving mood and reducing anxiety.
Dosage and Administration

Adult Dose: One tablet daily or as directed by a physician, depending on the severity of symptoms.

Avoid exceeding the prescribed dose.

Administration: Take orally with a glass of water, with or without food.
Interaction

Avoid with CNS depressants (e.g., alcohol, opioids), as it may enhance sedation.

May interact with anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and other serotonin-modulating drugs.
Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Diazepam, Escitalopram, or any components.

Severe respiratory depression or significant liver impairment.

Concomitant use with MAOIs is contraindicated.
Side Effects

Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness.

Severe: Respiratory depression, serotonin syndrome, dependency with prolonged use.
Pregnancy & Lactation

Not recommended during pregnancy due to potential harm to the fetus.

Avoid during breastfeeding as active ingredients may be excreted in breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings

Prolonged use may lead to dependency; should be used strictly under medical guidance.

Caution is advised in patients with a history of substance abuse.

Avoid activities that require alertness, such as driving, until the effects are known.
