Indications:
Oroxat 70 mg is indicated for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other severe acid-related conditions requiring high-dose Rabeprazole therapy.
Pharmacology:
Rabeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the proton pump (H+/K+ ATPase) in stomach parietal cells.
Dosage:
Dose to be determined by physician, commonly administered twice daily in severe cases.
Administration:
Oral use; swallow tablet whole with water, preferably before meals.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs such as warfarin, phenytoin, and ketoconazole. Inform your healthcare provider about all medicines.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Rabeprazole or other proton pump inhibitors.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and dizziness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly necessary and prescribed by a doctor.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for long-term use adverse effects including vitamin B12 deficiency.
