Indications:
Cardobis M 2.5/5 is indicated for the management of hypertension and angina pectoris. It is used in patients requiring combination therapy for better blood pressure control.
Pharmacology:
Nebivolol: A beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces heart rate and myocardial contractility, leading to lower blood pressure.
Amlodipine: A calcium channel blocker that dilates blood vessels, reducing vascular resistance and improving blood flow.
Dosage and Administration:
Standard Dose: One tablet daily, or as directed by a physician.
Take with or without food. Swallow whole with water.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensive agents, leading to excessive hypotension.
Avoid co-administration with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers.
Use caution with medications affecting heart rate, such as digoxin.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Nebivolol, Amlodipine, or any component of the tablet.
Severe hepatic impairment.
Cardiogenic shock or unstable angina.
Side Effects:
Common: Dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea.
Rare: Bradycardia, hypotension, peripheral edema.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
Not recommended during breastfeeding due to potential transfer into breast milk.
