Indications:
Urinary tract infection (UTI) discomfort due to acidic urine
Prevention of kidney stone formation, especially uric acid stones
Adjunct therapy in gout treatment with uricosuric agents
Correction of acidosis caused by kidney diseases
Pharmacology:
Urokit Plus contains potassium citrate and citric acid. Potassium citrate is absorbed and metabolized to potassium bicarbonate, acting as a systemic alkalinizer. This increases urinary pH and citrate levels, reducing the risk of stone formation. Citric acid enhances the solubility of calcium salts, further aiding in stone prevention.
