Indications:
Oroxat 50 mg is used for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other conditions requiring high-dose proton pump inhibitor therapy.
Pharmacology:
Rabeprazole inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, reducing gastric acid secretion.
Dosage:
Dosage varies by condition; typically prescribed by a physician, often twice daily in severe cases.
Administration:
Oral administration, swallow whole with water, preferably before meals.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs like warfarin, phenytoin, ketoconazole, and others. Disclose all medications to your doctor.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Rabeprazole or proton pump inhibitors.
