Indications:
Oradin syrup is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and post-surgical conditions in both adults and children.
Pharmacology:
Ondansetron is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that blocks serotonin receptors involved in triggering nausea and vomiting reflex.
Dosage:
Dosage depends on age and weight; usually prescribed by the physician. Commonly, 2-8 mg doses given orally 2-3 times daily.
Administration:
Oral administration, shake well before use, with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with other serotonergic drugs and apomorphine. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
