Indications:
PHYTOCAL DX is indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium deficiency, osteoporosis, osteopenia, and other bone disorders. It is especially beneficial in patients needing improved calcium metabolism, such as elderly individuals, postmenopausal women, pregnant or lactating mothers, and those with limited sun exposure.

Pharmacology:

Calcium is essential for the development and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth.
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) enhances calcium absorption in the intestines and regulates calcium and phosphate levels in the blood.
Vitamin K2-7 (Menaquinone-7) activates osteocalcin, which binds calcium to the bone matrix, improving bone mineralization and reducing arterial calcification.

Dosage:
1 tablet daily or as directed by the physician. Dosage may be increased based on clinical condition.

Administration:
To be taken orally, preferably with food for better absorption. Swallow with sufficient water.

Interaction:
May interact with antacids, tetracyclines, bisphosphonates, and some diuretics. Should not be taken simultaneously with high-dose iron or fiber supplements.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, or known hypersensitivity to any ingredient.

Side Effects:
Usually well tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal discomfort, constipation, or hypercalcemia may occur with overdose or long-term use.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe during pregnancy and lactation when taken as recommended. Provides essential calcium and vitamin support during these critical periods.
