Indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders with associated metabolic complications, combining the anxiolytic effects of Diazepam with the glucose-regulating benefits of Metformin.
Diazepam (12.5mg): A benzodiazepine that enhances the effect of GABA, calming excessive neural activity.
Metformin (500mg): A biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, aiding in metabolic control.
Adult Dose: One tablet daily or as directed by a physician, based on the patient's condition.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Administration: Take orally with water after meals to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
Diazepam may interact with alcohol, CNS depressants, and certain antidepressants, enhancing sedation.
Metformin may interact with insulin or other antidiabetic agents, potentially causing hypoglycemia.
Hypersensitivity to Diazepam, Metformin, or any excipient in the tablet.
Severe liver or kidney impairment, respiratory depression, or metabolic acidosis.
Diazepam: Drowsiness, dizziness, dependency with prolonged use.
Metformin: Gastrointestinal upset, lactic acidosis (rare but serious).
Diazepam is not recommended during pregnancy due to fetal risk.
Metformin may be used in pregnancy with caution but should be avoided unless absolutely necessary.
