Indications:
ZITHROX 35ML is prescribed for bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, ear infections, and some sexually transmitted diseases.
Pharmacology:
Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, stopping bacterial growth.
Dosage:

Children: Typically 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days or as directed by physician.

Shake well before use. Use provided measuring device.
Administration:
Administer orally after meals. Measure dose accurately with supplied spoon or syringe.
Interaction:
Avoid concurrent use with antacids containing aluminum or magnesium. Use caution with drugs prolonging QT interval.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to azithromycin or other macrolides.
Side Effects:
May cause nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rarely allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor.
