Long Description:
Indications:
Treatment of hypertension and chronic stable angina, particularly in patients requiring combination therapy.
Pharmacology:
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker causing vasodilation. Atenolol is a beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and cardiac output.
Dosage:
One tablet once daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
Oral use, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers, and CYP2D6 inhibitors.
Contraindications:
Bradycardia, severe asthma, heart block, hypersensitivity to components.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include fatigue, dizziness, hypotension, cold extremities, and headache.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy; consult physician before breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
