Indications:
Disartan 5/40 mg is indicated for the treatment of hypertension to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
Pharmacology:
Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates arteries and improves blood flow.
Dosage:
Generally prescribed as one tablet daily or according to physician’s instructions.
Dosage may be adjusted based on patient response.
Administration:
Oral administration with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, NSAIDs, lithium, and diuretics. Monitor blood pressure and kidney function.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or Olmesartan
Severe liver impairment
