Long Description:
Indications:
Management of hypertension and chronic stable angina in patients needing combination therapy.
Pharmacology:
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that causes vasodilation. Atenolol is a beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand.
Dosage:
One tablet once daily or as prescribed by the doctor.
Administration:
Oral use, with or without food, preferably at the same time daily.
Interaction:
Possible interactions with other antihypertensives, calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers, and CYP2D6 inhibitors.
Contraindications:
Bradycardia, severe asthma, heart block, hypersensitivity to any component.
