Indications:
MEVERINE SR 200 MG is indicated for the treatment of muscle spasms and cramps in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colic, and other functional bowel disorders.
Pharmacology:
Mebeverine acts as a smooth muscle relaxant by selectively blocking calcium channels in the gastrointestinal tract muscles, leading to decreased spasms without impairing normal gut motility.
Dosage:

Adults: One sustained-release tablet (200 mg) twice daily before meals or as prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Interaction:
No significant drug interactions reported; always inform your physician of all medicines you are taking.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to mebeverine or any formulation ingredients.
Side Effects:
Generally well tolerated. Rare side effects may include nausea, headache, dizziness, or allergic reactions.
