Indications:
T CEF DS 50 ML is indicated for treating bacterial infections including bronchitis, pneumonia, otitis media, and urinary tract infections in children.
Pharmacology:
Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death.
Dosage:

Children: 8 mg/kg/day divided into two doses, or as directed by the physician.
Administration:
Reconstitute the dry syrup with the specified amount of water before use. Shake well before each dose. Administer orally with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with antacids and nephrotoxic drugs. Inform your healthcare provider of any other medications.
Contraindications:

Allergy to cefixime, cephalosporins, or penicillin.

History of severe hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, rash, and allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use under medical supervision; safety in pregnancy and lactation is generally acceptable if needed.

Storage Conditions:
Store the dry syrup powder in a cool, dry place below 25°C. After reconstitution, store the syrup in a refrigerator (2-8°C) and use within 7 days. Keep out of reach of children.
