Indications:
Diproxen CR 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, inflammation, and associated symptoms in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and musculoskeletal disorders.

Pharmacology:
Naproxen, the active ingredient, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby decreasing pain and inflammation. The controlled-release formulation provides a sustained therapeutic effect.

Dosage:

Adults: Typically 500 mg once or twice daily, depending on severity and physician’s guidance.
Should be taken exactly as prescribed, without crushing or chewing the tablet.

Administration:
Oral use, preferably with food to minimize gastrointestinal irritation. Swallow tablets whole.

Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, corticosteroids, other NSAIDs, antihypertensives, and certain antidepressants. Monitor for increased risk of bleeding or kidney issues.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Naproxen or other NSAIDs
Active peptic ulcer disease or gastrointestinal bleeding
