MYDIPIN 5 MG is indicated for the treatment of:
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Prevention of complications associated with long-term hypertension (e.g., heart disease, kidney damage, stroke)
Especially effective in patients with diabetes and elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension
Cilnidipine is a dual L-type and N-type calcium channel blocker. By inhibiting calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle cells and sympathetic nerve terminals, it causes vasodilation and suppresses excess sympathetic activity, thereby lowering blood pressure without reflex tachycardia.
Standard adult dose: 5 mg once daily
Dose range: 5–10 mg daily based on patient response
Elderly: Start with 5 mg/day
Take orally with or without food
Swallow the tablet whole with water
Take at the same time each day for best results
Enhanced effect with other antihypertensives
May interact with:
