Indications:
METH 10 MG is indicated for treatment of various cancers (like leukemia, lymphoma), autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and severe psoriasis.
Pharmacology:
Methotrexate inhibits dihydrofolate reductase enzyme, blocking folic acid metabolism which is essential for DNA synthesis and cell replication. This leads to reduced proliferation of rapidly dividing cells.
Dosage:

Dosage varies widely depending on the disease; commonly weekly doses ranging from 7.5 mg to 25 mg orally or by injection as prescribed.
Administration:
Take orally or by injection exactly as prescribed by the physician. Regular monitoring of blood counts and liver function is essential.
Interaction:
Interacts with NSAIDs, sulfonamides, penicillins, and other drugs that affect renal function or folate metabolism, increasing risk of toxicity.
Contraindications:

Side Effects:
Nausea, vomiting, mouth ulcers, liver toxicity, bone marrow suppression, pulmonary fibrosis, and increased risk of infections.

Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to teratogenic effects. Use effective contraception during treatment.
