Dry, rough skin
Xerosis (abnormal dryness)
Ichthyosis (fish-scale skin)
Skin cracks and fissures
Dermatitis
Eczema
Psoriasis
Keratoses
Calluses
Applied topically, urea promotes hydration of keratin and mild keratolysis in dry skin. It increases water uptake by the stratum corneum and has an antipruritic effect. Urea acts as a humectant, drawing water into the skin, and also has mild keratolytic properties, helping to soften and remove thickened skin areas.
Apply a thin layer of Aqua Care 30 gm Cream to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Clean and dry the affected area before application. Gently massage the cream into the skin until fully absorbed. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
No significant drug interactions have been reported with topical urea preparations.
Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any component of the cream. Avoid use on open wounds or broken skin.
Common side effects may include:
Mild stinging or burning sensation upon application
Itching
Redness or irritation at the application site
Serious side effects are rare but may include:
Severe redness or irritation of treated skin
Allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing
Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Urea should only be used if the potential benefits justify the potential risk to the fetus.
