Indications:
INDAPA SR 1.5 MG is indicated for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): It helps lower blood pressure by reducing fluid buildup in the body.
Edema (Fluid Retention): It is used to treat swelling caused by conditions such as heart failure, kidney disease, or liver disease, by promoting fluid excretion from the body.

Pharmacology:
INDAPA SR contains Indapamide, a thiazide-like diuretic that works by increasing the amount of urine produced by the kidneys. It inhibits sodium reabsorption in the kidneys, which leads to reduced fluid retention, thus lowering blood pressure and helping manage edema. As a sustained-release formulation, it provides a slow, continuous release of the drug, ensuring a prolonged effect.

Dosage:

Adults: The usual dose for treating hypertension is 1.5 mg once daily, taken orally.
Edema: The dose may vary based on the severity of the condition, typically starting at 1.5 mg per day, and adjusting as needed.
It is important to follow the dosing regimen prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Administration:

Take INDAPA SR 1.5 MG once daily, with or without food.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.
It is best to take the medication at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

Interaction:

Lithium: Indapamide can increase the levels of lithium in the blood, leading to toxicity.
Corticosteroids, salts, and other diuretics: Can increase the risk of dehydration, low blood pressure, and electrolyte imbalances.
ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, and potassium-sparing diuretics: These medications may interact with Indapamide to cause changes in potassium levels.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Indapamide or any of the excipients in the formulation.
Severe kidney impairment or hepatic disease.
