THYVY is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism, congenital hypothyroidism, and other thyroid hormone deficiencies.
Pharmacology:
Thyroxine (T4) is a synthetic form of the natural thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland. It regulates metabolism, growth, and development by influencing cellular activity and protein synthesis.

Dosage varies based on patient’s age, weight, and severity of hypothyroidism. Generally, for adults, 25-100 mcg daily orally, adjusted according to thyroid function tests. Pediatric dosing differs and should be physician-directed.
Administration:
Take THYVY syrup orally, preferably on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast. Follow the exact dose prescribed by the physician.
Interaction:
Thyroxine absorption can be affected by antacids, calcium supplements, iron, and certain foods. It may interact with warfarin and diabetes medications. Inform your physician about all medications you use.
Contraindications:
Untreated adrenal insufficiency, thyrotoxicosis, acute myocardial infarction, hypersensitivity to thyroxine.
Side Effects:
Overdose or excessive dosage can cause symptoms of hyperthyroidism such as palpitations, nervousness, weight loss, heat intolerance, and insomnia.

Thyroid hormone replacement.
