Indications:
SUPRA Z is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, heartburn, and symptoms related to delayed gastric emptying such as nausea and bloating.
Pharmacology:
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases gastric acid secretion by blocking the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme in stomach lining. Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal motility by blocking dopamine receptors, facilitating gastric emptying and reducing nausea.
Dosage:
Typically, one tablet once daily before a meal or as prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
Take orally with water, preferably 30 minutes before food for optimal effect.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs like ketoconazole, digoxin, warfarin, and some antipsychotics. Use caution and consult your physician before combining medications.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, domperidone, or any formulation components.

Patients with known prolactin-releasing pituitary tumors.

Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation without medical advice.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include headache, dry mouth, abdominal pain, dizziness, and diarrhea. Rarely, arrhythmia or extrapyramidal symptoms may occur.

Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
