Indications:
Disartan 5/20 mg is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce risks related to cardiovascular diseases.
Pharmacology:
Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates arteries and improves blood flow.
Dosage:
Typically one tablet daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Dosage adjustments may be made based on patient response.
Administration:
Oral administration with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, diuretics, lithium, and NSAIDs. Monitor blood pressure and kidney function during therapy.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or Olmesartan
Severe hepatic impairment
Pregnancy and lactation
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, headache, swelling (edema), and fatigue. Rarely, hypotension or kidney impairment may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended during pregnancy. Consult doctor before use during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure regularly.
Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney disease.
Avoid sudden discontinuation.
