Indications:
SUPRACOD 100 ML is used to relieve moderate to severe pain including headaches, muscle pain, toothache, and to reduce fever.
Pharmacology:
Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic agent that reduces pain and fever by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the CNS. Codeine phosphate is an opioid analgesic that acts on central opioid receptors to decrease the perception of pain.
Dosage:

Adults: 5-10 ml every 4-6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 60 ml per day.

Children: Dosage must be determined by a physician based on age and weight.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food. Use the measuring cup provided for accurate dosing.
Interaction:
May interact with CNS depressants, alcohol, MAO inhibitors, and other opioids. Avoid concurrent use without medical advice.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, codeine, or any excipients.

Patients with respiratory depression, acute asthma, or bowel obstruction.

Use with caution in liver or kidney impairment.
Side Effects:
Drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions, and risk of dependence with prolonged use.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician. Codeine crosses the placenta and may affect the fetus.
