Indications:
Cosec 40 mg is indicated for relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders with moderate to severe symptoms.
Pharmacology:
Aceclofenac selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis which mediates inflammation and pain.
Dosage:
Usually, 1 tablet twice daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
Oral administration with food to minimize gastrointestinal irritation.
Interaction:
May interact with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, corticosteroids, and certain antihypertensives. Disclose all medications to your healthcare provider.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to aceclofenac or NSAIDs, active gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic, renal or cardiac impairment.
Side Effects:
Gastrointestinal upset, nausea, dizziness, rash, and rare serious bleeding or ulceration.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed; avoid in third trimester. Consult healthcare provider before use during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for signs of bleeding or gastrointestinal discomfort; avoid prolonged use without medical advice.
