Indications:
GLUCOTIN MAX 750/50 is indicated for:

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults.

It is especially beneficial for patients who do not achieve adequate control with metformin alone, or who require additional therapy with dual-action mechanisms for better blood sugar management.
Pharmacology:
GLUCOTIN MAX 750/50 combines Metformin and Sitagliptin:

Metformin: A biguanide that works primarily by decreasing glucose production in the liver and increasing insulin sensitivity, helping the body use glucose more effectively.

Sitagliptin: A DPP-4 inhibitor that increases the levels of incretin hormones, which help stimulate insulin release in response to meals and suppress excessive glucose production by the liver.
Dosage:

Adults: The typical starting dose is 1 tablet (750 mg Metformin + 50 mg Sitagliptin) once daily, with food to reduce gastrointestinal upset. The dose may be adjusted based on the patient’s response.

Maximum dose: Up to 2000 mg Metformin + 100 mg Sitagliptin daily, divided into two doses.

Dosing adjustments may be necessary for patients with kidney problems.

Children: Not recommended for children under 18 years of age.
