Indications:
Diretic 20/50 mg is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), helping to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
Pharmacology:
Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that helps reduce fluid retention and blood volume.
Dosage:

Usually taken once daily, with or without food, as prescribed by a physician.

Dosage adjustments depend on patient response and clinical condition.
Administration:
Oral use, swallow whole with water. Consistent daily timing is recommended.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, potassium supplements, NSAIDs, lithium, and certain diuretics. Monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes is essential.
Contraindications:

Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, cough, and increased urination. Rarely, electrolyte imbalance and kidney dysfunction may occur.
