AERON 4 MG Sachet is indicated for:

Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and children

Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (both seasonal and perennial)
Pharmacology
AERON contains Montelukast Sodium 4 mg, a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the action of leukotrienes. Leukotrienes are chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, swelling, and constriction in the airways, making breathing difficult. Montelukast helps to prevent these effects, improving respiratory function.
Dosage & Administration

Asthma (Children 6 months - 5 years): 4 mg once daily, in the evening.

The sachet granules should be taken orally and can be mixed with a spoonful of soft food like applesauce.

Do not mix with liquids.
Interaction

May interact with phenobarbital, phenytoin, or rifampin, reducing effectiveness.
