Indications:
LYRIC 25 MG is indicated for neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and as adjunctive therapy for partial seizures.
Pharmacology:
Contains Pregabalin, which binds to calcium channels in the central nervous system to reduce nerve excitability and pain transmission.
Dosage & Administration:
Initial dose usually 25 mg once or twice daily, adjustable by the physician based on response and tolerance.
Interaction:
May interact with CNS depressants, opioids, and alcohol, increasing sedation risk.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any component.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, and weight gain.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed; safety in pregnancy and lactation not fully established.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for mood changes, dizziness, and signs of allergic reaction. Caution in patients with renal impairment.
