Pharmacology
Levothyroxine is a synthetic form of thyroxine (T4) that replaces deficient thyroid hormones, ensuring normal metabolism, energy production, and overall thyroid function.
Dosage and Administration

Dosage:
Initiate with 75 mcg daily or as directed by a physician. Dosage adjustments depend on thyroid hormone levels and clinical response. -
Administration:
Take orally on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast.
Interaction

Reduced efficacy when taken with iron supplements, calcium, or antacids. Maintain at least a 4-hour interval.

May interact with anticoagulants, insulin, and other medications affecting hormone levels.
Contraindications
