VISET 100 ML SYRUP is indicated for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (sneezing, nasal discharge, and itching) and chronic urticaria (itching and hives) in both children and adults.
Pharmacology:
Cetirizine is a potent and selective H1 receptor antagonist. It reduces allergic symptoms by inhibiting the action of histamine released during allergic reactions. It is less likely to cause sedation compared to first-generation antihistamines.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults & Children (above 12 years): 10 ml once daily.

Children (6-12 years): 5 ml twice daily or 10 ml once daily.

Children (2-6 years): 2.5 ml twice daily.

Shake the bottle well before use. Follow the doctor’s advice for the correct dosage.
Interaction:

Avoid alcohol or CNS depressants as they may enhance drowsiness.

No significant interactions with commonly used medications.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Cetirizine or any ingredients in the formulation.

Severe renal impairment.
Side Effects:

Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache.

Rare: Allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, or dizziness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.

Cetirizine is excreted in breast milk; caution is advised during lactation.
