Indications:
NAPRYN 15 G is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions like osteoarthritis, tendonitis, sprains, and sports injuries.
Pharmacology:
NAPRYN gel contains Naproxen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis via cyclooxygenase enzyme blockade, reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Dosage & Administration:
Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Massage gently. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds.
Interaction:
Minimal systemic absorption; hence, drug interactions are rare. Avoid concurrent use with other NSAID gels on the same area unless advised by a physician.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Naproxen or other NSAIDs. Not for use on eczema, infected, or broken skin.
Side Effects:
May cause local irritation, rash, itching, or redness. Rarely, allergic skin reactions may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Avoid use during the third trimester of pregnancy. Use with caution and under medical supervision during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or ingestion. Wash hands after application. Discontinue if irritation persists.
